EVENT OVERVIEW

This event is structured with multiple run groups organized by lap times and driver awareness to accommodate drivers of all experience levels. Professional track photography is included with registration. HPDE instructors will be available throughout the day for ride-alongs and instructing. This is a single-driver registration event. Passengers are permitted to ride along for this event (see Safety Requirements below).

RUN GROUPS

Run groups are organized based on lap times and driver awareness. CRS instructors and staff may reassign drivers at any time to maintain safety and proper track flow. Use the lap times below as a general guideline:

  • Beginner: 2:16 - 2:30+

  • Novice: 2:10 - 2:15

  • Intermediate: 2:04 - 2:09

  • Advanced: 2:03 or Faster

Note: Drivers who intentionally register for a class level above their skill level will be reassigned to Beginner Group until further notice.

LAP TIMING

Drivers without a personal transponder may use free lap-timing apps such as Track Addict or Hot Laps.
A windshield-mounted phone is recommended for accurate lap timing.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Snell-rated helmets (SA2015, SA2020, or SA2025) are mandatory. DOT-only helmets are not permitted. Passengers are allowed for this event. Both drivers and passengers must wear a Snell-rated helmet at all times while on track.

Limited helmet rentals are available as add-on in our store on our website. All participants are responsible for bringing their own helmets. Buttonwillow Raceway Park does not provide any helmet rentals.

TECH INSPECTION & REQUIRED FORMS

This is a self-tech event. Drivers are responsible for ensuring their vehicles are safe and track-ready. All drivers are required to have both of the following completed prior to check-in on the morning of the event:

  • Self-Tech Inspection Form

  • Waiver of Liability

Both forms must be printed, completed, and signed.

CRS staff reserves the right to perform random safety checks to confirm vehicle meet minimum requirements.
No refunds will be issued for vehicles that fail to meet safety requirements.

CONVERTIBLE & OPEN-TOP VEHICLE POLICY

  • Vehicles must have proper rollover protection to participate.

  • Factory roll hoops/pop-up roll bars (e.g., BMW Z3/Z4, Honda S2000, Porsche Boxster) are permitted.

  • Vehicles without factory or aftermarket rollover protection (e.g., early Miatas, pre-2014 Mustangs, C5 Corvettes) are not allowed unless a roll bar/cage is installed.

If you are unsure whether your vehicle qualifies, please contact us before the event for approval.

EVENT FEES & AMENITIES
Buttonwillow Raceway Park charges a $10 gate fee per person, payable upon entry.

On-site garage rentals are also available for drivers who want additional shade, workspace, or hangout spot. Each garage is 25’ x 25’ and is available for $125 per day. Garage rentals are handled directly through Buttonwillow Raceway Park and are subject to availability.

There is also fuel available on-site via self-service pumps including race fuel. A tire shop is also available in the paddock.

TICKET TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • All ticket sales are final—no refunds for any reason. This includes cancellations, failure to attend, no-shows, or early departures.

  • Tickets are valid only for this event and cannot be transferred to future events or used as credit.

  • Driver-to-driver ticket transfers are permitted with prior approval. Requests must be submitted in advance.

  • The event will proceed rain or shine—no exceptions.

  • Failure to comply with event safety rules, track policies, or staff instructions may result in removal without refund.
